Flood Insurance for Home and Contents

Flood insurance - To cover or not!!!
There are two thoughts on this:-

  1. Have it covered in all policies but then people who live in non-flood areas are paying for insurance they will most likley never need - and low income earners may ditch insurance as it gets dearer to cover all incidents.
  2. Have it optional like it is now - Yes flood cover is available and 99% of our clients have Full Accidental Damage and Flood Coverage

Simplex's frustration with FLOOD Cover

We usually quote our clients with FLOOD Cover and Full Accidental Damage Cover - and yes this makes a Policy dearer than some Competitors who offer a Defined (Listed) Events Cover without Flood We have no issues with clients shopping around to get a great deal, that infact is how we pick up most of our business, but we are frustrated when they get a price elsewhere with inferior coverage and are not told what they are getting is not the same as what they have.

To all our Competitors -

Let's quote Apples for Apples coverage and if we quote anything less let the client know so they can make an informed decision.

To Consumers - Ask -

    • Does this cover Flood?
    • Is this a Full Accidental Damage Policy?
    • What is the limit on Jewellrey Items/Home Office/Aniques?
    • Are my Contents covered in the open air? to what limit?
    • Are my Contents covered away from the home? to what limit?

Hi there :) Is it okay if I go kinda away from the topic? I am trying to look at this blog from my brand new Android phone but it won't show correctly (some of the images are half covered), any suggestions? Shall I try to find an fix for my software or something? Thanks! Mittie x :)
